More on the Maxedia Compact Media Server
The Maxedia Compact media server has an intuitive touchscreen-optimised user interface and is the most user-friendly tool for media composing and playback in a variety of applications. A vast library of media clips, still images and integrated animations are pre-installed eliminating the need for a complex lighting controller. The server can also be uploaded with custom AVI and MOV video files, JPEG and BMP picture files for customising each show.
The media can be manipulated in hundreds of ways to modify intensity, coloration, color effects, position and rotation as well as many other interesting image effects. Maxedia Compact enables overlay of media files in upto 6 layers, which can interact and blend like in professional photo and video editing programs. Yet Maxedia does it in real time with no delays, giving endless creative possibilities.
Maxedia also works in 3 dimensions and media can be freely placed in space. 3D objects can be imported and media files can be wrapped around them. Once a desired look is created it can be saved as a cue and replayed at the touch of a button with blending options and wipes, allowing powerful playback directly from the Maxedia interface. No lighting console is required to fully utilise the Maxedia and even with a lighting console the Maxedia only requires a minimal amount of DMX channels.
There is also the option to Pixel-map up to 32 universes of LED and CMY fixtures to the output allowing the video content to be shown over a whole array of fixtures. The Sever therefore comes with two direct DMX 512 ouputs aswell as an Artnet connection.
