For as long as the event lighting industry has existed, rental companies have faced a dilemma with the trusty emergency exit sign. A vital part of any temporary installation, the commercial units available to the market until now have simply not been rugged enough to cope with repeated temporary installation or flexible enough to be incorporated into any event environment.
Designed specifically for the event rental market by the Blinding Light team in conjunction with our sister company Pure LED, the Pure LED Emergency Exit Sign is constructed from a robust, custom designed steel outer casing which is powder coated black. The unit comes pre-fitted with multiple M10 fixing points to allow central or offset mounted clamps and safety bonds to be attached quickly and simply. An LED source allows three hours of battery life from a single charge, which is easily tested thanks to the in-built battery / LED test button.
Units are supplied with a half coupler or hook clamp depending on your application, a pair of M10 flying eyes and also ship with an ingenious key-hole mounting plate which allow a separate plate to be screwed to a wall, into which the exit sign simply slots into place – never again will a unit need to be dismantled to attach to a wall or scenic piece.
This unit can be set to “Maintained” (on all the time) or “Non-Maintained” (off until the unit loses power) via a simple on-board switch and each unit is supplied with a full set of directional legends, which are swapped out simply by loosening two thumb screws and sliding into place. Power is fed to the sign via a pair of Neutrik PowerCON TRUE1 connectors to allow daisy chaining of units.
